Learn How To Easily Create And Install Favicons To Websites

A favicon is a small pic that shows up in a browser's address bar or next to a page's title on the tab for instance. A good pic to use as a favicon to one's website is a logo or pic associated with the specific website, I normally use my websites profile pics as favicons. For this website I have used the wizard from the banner as a favicon.

To create a favicon you need to convert the pic you want to use as a favicon into a 16x16 pixels .ico file. Before I knew how to convert a .jpg image into a .ico file I just tried to change the .jpg to .ico in Photoshop, which did not work.

How To Add Meta Tags To A Webpage

Whenever I add a new page to my websites I always make sure to add relevant Meta Tags, meaning title, description and keywords. The reason I do this is because it makes it easier for search engines to pick up information from my webpages and it allows me to control what information the search engines show from them as well, also known as SEO (Search Engine Optimization). To make sure the Meta Tags I have added are good, I always double check them with a Meta Tag Analyzer Tool.

Excellent Way To Get Lots Of Free Retweets
August 14, 2012

I recently joined a site called TraffUp where you can get free retweets, free Twitter followers and/or free traffic to your website. Now the main reason I really like TraffUp is because it is not an exchange site, so you do not have to do a retweet to get a retweet. Instead you earn points by visiting other websites, follow folks on Twitter or retweeting and the points you earn you can then spend on whichever of these options you prefer - or all three.

A free and easy to install widget that I use to display photo images of other websites on my websites, including this one, come from BitPixels. Now I have tried other free thumbnail services, like Thumbshots, but I do prefer BitPixels.
